Grupo Alves Bandeira held another edition of its annual employee gathering – the GAB Summit 2025 – in a particularly symbolic year, marking the company’s 50th anniversary. The event took place in Vila Nova de Poiares, a location of great significance to the Group, where it continues to maintain its tax headquarters in homage to its origins.

With more than 500 attendees, including current and former employees, the day was filled with moments of genuine connection, sharing, and celebration. The morning began with an Urban Orienteering challenge, inviting participants to explore the most iconic spots in the town, including a special visit to the Founder’s house, Cassiano Alves Bandeira – a moving and symbolic moment.

In the afternoon, the Municipal Market of Vila Nova de Poiares became the setting for a fantastic social lunch, filled with music, dancing, and entertainment, especially during the performance by guest artist Quim Barreiros. The highlight of the day was the symbolic moment of singing "Happy Birthday to Grupo Alves Bandeira,” celebrated with emotion and gratitude by all those who contributed to these five decades of growth.

Rui Bandeira, President of Grupo Alves Bandeira, shared a heartfelt message of thanks: "Celebrating the Group’s 50th anniversary is a way of honoring a past built on achievements, resilience, and above all, people. We are deeply grateful to all our employees—both current and former—because they have always been and continue to be the foundation of this journey of perseverance. Reaching this milestone was only possible thanks to the commitment, professionalism, and sense of purpose that have always defined our team. This GAB Summit was another remarkable moment of unity and collective pride that propels us even stronger into the future. GAB Summit 2025 was thus much more than an internal event. It was a tribute to the history of Grupo Alves Bandeira, an affirmation of its identity, and a celebration of the people who have shaped the journey of one of Portugal’s leading economic groups.
