Grupo Alves Bandeira strengthens social impact with new volunteer initiative
2025-05-21As part of the "Green Economy and Social Economy Support Projects” program, Grupo Alves Bandeira, in partnership with Crédito Agrícola, once again joined forces in a volunteer action with real community impact, reaffirming the company’s strong commitment to social responsibility.
This initiative is part of a broader set of actions aimed at fighting energy poverty in social economy institutions across the country. The project is coordinated by Just a Change, a non-profit association dedicated to rehabilitating homes and institutions of people living in housing poverty, with the help of volunteers and social partners.
This mission is part of the partnership launched in 2022 between Grupo Alves Bandeira and Crédito Agrícola, which offers the bank’s customers a direct discount of 6 cents per litre at Alves Bandeira fuel stations—accumulable with other promotional campaigns up to a maximum of 12 cents per litre. In addition, for every litre refuelled, the 100% Portuguese company donates 1 cent to support this social initiative. In this way, every fill-up becomes a purposeful act with direct impact on local communities.
Pedro Mascarenhas, Marketing Director at Grupo Alves Bandeira, emphasizes: "We believe that the social impact of a company is measured by its ability to create real value in the communities in which it operates.
